Now I play the waiting game

I finally got my VW's suspension apart after a little heat with a torch, removing the strut and basically the entire passenger side assembly (3 of 4 control arms, tie rod end, sway bar, engine mount.... don't ask)

I ordered all 4 control arms and the tie rod end from rock auto (wrecked the boots in tear down, and apparantly I can't get just the $.50 boots....) I'll bring the hub and the new wheel bearing to the shop in town by me to have them press in the new bearing (I know I probably could do it on the press at work, but I really don't feel like it right now) and onceI get it all reassembled, I'll need to bring it in for an alignment.

I also wrecked the pinch bolt, and for the life of me I can't seem to find it by itself. Pretty sure it's just a 10MM bolt, and we've got a good selection of them at the shop so I'm not too worried. I'll have to do some measuring on Monday to figure it out.

For now I wait for parts. I chose to go with the 3 day shipping so I have a chance of getting the parts by Friday and I can still get it all together and back on the road. I could have gotten most of the parts locally, but some still would have needed to be ordered and the prices were a little bit higher. VW wanted $250 for one of the lower control arms, I got it from rock auto for a hair over $60.... My whole order, with shipping, taxes, and even a manual is right at $250.

Sad part is, my car still needs more work. This is just the highest priority.
