Now I hope none of you fellas gave your wives a vacuum cleaner, (unless she asked for it)

Pair of Muck brand boots- They're insulated and spendy (90 bucks) but she uses 'em until they're worn out.

I got Mrs. Casedc3 this sign. She didn't hit me over the head with it (yet). So I think she likes it.

Two hand made shawl fasteners one a brass ring with brass retaining "pin", and the other made from black walnut with a walnut "pin". Jim

Sony Handi-Cam
Heated pillow-massager for her back
Book

My wife is impossible to buy for.....She buys what she wants all year long. So this year I went "out of the box" , so to say..Since her bout with cancer, she's always complaining about being cold.. So I got her a pair of Alpaca gloves and some nickie nack sort of stuff from the Alpaca shop.. Something out of the ordinary..We also adopted a "dump" cat.. Formerly called Stella , her name is Cali now..I rescued her from the Lake County Landfill in Painesville.. She was someones pet at one time.. However , living at the landfill office for 4 years in squaller conditions didn't do her any justice..Tried giving her a bath, luckily I had a thick flannel shirt on..The claws came out with a vengence.. Sort of like a Preditor movie.. After a week , she's settling right in.. Really a nice personality....She's gonna be vetted on the 27th..This should be good....

I bought a new Micro Wave oven. First on the list of its assets is CRS (concave reflex system)
SERIOUSLY. I Hope I don't get any worst than I am now.

some clothes, [ she picks, i pay] and a keyboard [ one of those little computer things] i treat these things too rough to have one, and my fingers are too big too,i dont text either as my fingers cover about 4 keys at a time

Sometimes Marilyn or I will make a fairly large purchase during the course of the year that is designated as our Christmas present. When Christmas comes around we'll still have a small present under the tree but the biggie is already purchased and in use.

This year her 'early' present is a hinge for her diamond ring. You're probably scratching your heads on that one. She has arthritis in her hands and her knuckles are too big to slide the ring on. So, for more money than the ring cost in the first place in 1973, the jewelry store sent it away to have a hinge installed so she can now hinge it open. For a gift under the tree I bought her a delicate little hanging angel in memory of our daughter, a tradition that started ten years ago. Merry Christmas everyone! Jim

Spent the summer remodeling our 20 year old house. Painting, new carpet and flooring, also built her a screened porch on the house. Everybody's happy but a blender would have been cheaper!

Got her an electric griddle- she likes cooking pancakes and hates using the flat griddle she has because it's warped. She really seems to like it, because her daughter has one. She hit me with the older one because I bought her something.....

Got her a new engagement ring since she lost the old one this summer. Been together 12 yrs, married 8 of those thought she deserved it. Shes given me 2 great kids, and she has to put up with me and my tractor habit. Have a good day. Scott

A portable fish finder. She has been wanting one for a while so she can see what the lake looks like under the pedal boat and watch the fish swim by. She was very happy. Too bad use will have to wait til the rain goes away.

A fella back home was know for being practical to a fault. He bought his wife a New Holland Hayliner 273. Folks still talk about that one!

I have the wife's permission to go buy something after today, so I get the better deals. She is sensible that way, since we're pinching pennies right now.

My wife likes these Indian pictures/cards. So I watch for them. So she got two of them and a check to hit the after Christmas sales with. She has much better color taste than I do. So why should I try to do something she is good at??? Plus she is like most other females in that she loves to shop. I absolutely HATE to go shopping!!!!

I got the Mrs nothing. Same thing I get the grown kids and Mrs every year. Same thing they get me also.

For me Christmas is about the young children so I spent all day yeasterday hand building a wooden swingset out of pressure treated lumber for my 4 year old grand daughter.

I think it went well as I got a phone call this morning from my daughter exclaiming that her child was passing over all her other gifts and wanted to go outside and swing even though it was pouring down rain.

Ruby ear rings with small diamonds surrounding them. She was wasn't expecting them so she was surprised and happy! Finishes out the set as I bought her a ruby ring for her 30th birthday.

Seeing as we have been together for 30 years back there on the 19th, I combined that with a Christmas gift for my Mrs. I have spent the past 2 weeks building her new kitchen units for her food preparation /utility/scullery room. I bought the cabinet doors secondhand and built the rest....Just got the cooker installed a 5 to midnight last night, still have the window to stain and curtains to fit but ....it was used today, with success!

Got her a nice engagement ring. Couldn't afford one 45 years ago. Back then she said she didn't want a little diamond no one could see. She can see this one.

I bought her a Precious Momnets figure of a person gold panning with some gold in the pan. Seeing how we are in our vacation home in Yukon Canada not far from where all the gold was dicovered in the 1896 - 1898 gold rush. I thought it was a perfect gift & she did as well. Gerald

For our first Christmas I gave my wife a meat slicer. She said when she returned it she saw that it was the first things she saw when she went in the store. She still loves to tell that story after 49 years.

Didn"t get her anything. She didn"t use what I got her last year. What was that you say? A cemetery plot. Actually got her White Diamonds perfume.

It's our first Christmas as husband and wife...got her a pasta attachment for her Kitchen Aid mixer..I bought that before I knew I would end up buying her a new car...

Charlie 6 weeks ago I got a new Toshiba P875-S7200.
Love the computer but if hers has not been updated to WINDOWS 8 . She may want to think about not doing it. XP or 7 sure is easier to use.

We got ourselves a new clothes dryer and a new 22cu' refrig./freezer with the bottom freezer drawer. Needed the dryer , saw the refrg. on sale at 1/2 price , brought it along home too.

Mrs. has to much jewelry already so that is done for a while. I have gotten her more pieces then she could ever wear and she inherited a lot more this year when her Dad passed.
Soo, she bought here own gifts mostly, some of which I will only know/learn about over the next month or so!

Like usual, I got nothing I really needed/wanted.

Heck, I sent her a links to two bench vises on CL,
she did not even try to get one of them.

Gift card to her favorite dress shop. She has as much fun planning what to get as she does with the dress. Some perfume too. Grandpa always got Grandma a new splitting axe every Christmas, but I think I'll wait until next year for that one.

Ladies carhartt coat, gloves, Christmas pattern socks, assortment of hair clips and hair ties, electric gridle since I dropped the old one and broke the plastic handles and some candy.

I got her a new scoop shovel, since she won't allow the blower or the skid loader on the cement in front of the garage door. Meanwhile the kids drive the sleds in and out and the skags scratch the cement...

Then I got her a new Wustof knife set.

Now her birthday is on 1-2. Need to shop again!

She got a remote start for her Chevy Equinox. Now she can start it from inside the house or at work and it will be toasty warm and windows defrosted when she gets in.

Mine first got a Ruger LC9 with the factory Crimson Trace laser attached. When she discovered that her carpal tunnel made it nearly impossible for her to handle it we moved on. I let her try my Cold Government model 380 and she then wanted one of those, but the prices were too high for me after just buying the LC9. Given that she really enjoys shooting I convinced her to let me get her a .22 LR Walther P22. She loves it and is deadly accurate at 50 plus feet. fast forward a few more weeks and we found the twin to my 380 Colt for a fair price, so she got that one too.

In the end my wife said she has doscovered one thing about me....I'd much rather buy her a gun as I had buy her jewelry...and she's right. While I like 'nice' things I am way more practical than anything, and what is more practical than a gun ---or three--- for her to use to protect all the pretty jewelry she already has???

Flowers on BOTH of their graves. Sorry folks, but I have outlived BOTH of my wives & all 7 of my children, I will NEVER see grand-children. Holidays are very sad for me.

Y'all have a very Merry Christmas & a safe & Happy New Year.
