Nog was originally a strong ale brewed in England. Egg Nog is a beverage of U.S.origin from the time of the Revolutionary war. Egg nog has eggs, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, whipping cream, milk and sometimes rum and/or brandy.
I bet you could make some some out of this world-tastin' egg nog by using home grown eggs and fresh goats milk/cream.

Yeah, kornfused kinda got me to thinkin' too. I thought Larry was just kidding around. But you know how you hear a word or phrase all your life, then one day you realize you never really heard the meaning? Well, I went to dictionary.com and typed in "nog". It says, "Any beverage made with beaten eggs, usually with alcoholic liquor, eggnog." It also says, as kornfused stated, "A strong ale formerly brewed in Norfolk, England." So, Larry, like you say, you learn something every day.------- Bottoms up!

I love the stuff ,too much for my waist line's sake. Also I am supposed to keep my colesterol down. I think I have a good excuse to drink the rum in coke! Not bad that way.
