OT OT OT Oil change

First oil change on the air compressor! Knew I did not want to run the oil down the tank, just had to figure out how to do it! SO, a tall office chair, flexible funnel, drain pan and a 24" clamp did the trick! No old oil touched the tank! I did get the new, high priced, synthetic to run down the side when I finally realized it was not taking it from a funnel! Live and learn I guess!

I have the same compressor. I change oil once a year and use valvoline synthetic. Also had the same drain issue so I installed an extension on the drain to make it a neater job. Works like a champ and a very good air compressor.

Tony, it is at my home. A small cabinet shop. Sam, it looks like you got it figured out! Compressor has been good so far, just over 1 year since new! Sure is loud!

I ordered ball valves for all my diesels from FOMOTO.COM and liked the ease of sliping a short hose onto the valve barb and filling whatever jugs I have(mostly milk jugs)which is much easier to handle than containers capiable of holding an intire oil change.
Worked so well I put a 1/4"mptx 3/8"barb valve from Lowes on the compressor. In addition to no mess another benifit of ball valves is that oil samples are quicker to pull now.
