Now that is the most backward, unconventional plowing method I have ever seen. Will have to show my husband.
Just laughing thinking about if everyone did that at a plow show. LOL!
Search youtube for Farmall Regular... there is a guy who starts a Reg by just winging the crank around about 20 times - as fast as he can. Looks funny - but if she ever kicks back, he's gonna regret it.

The one I'm thinking of he just spins and spins it...when I think about it, it could be an F20 instead (not sure). And in the comments section below the video, he gets really angry when people tell him to keep his thumb out of the way and to only pull up-not spin it.

He's new at it, I have done similar but made adjustments before I went much further, learning curve applies to using a plow no doubt, but nice to flip that sod evenly and uniformly, tiller like mentioned would clean up that mess for the most part. Maybe next time he got that plow set right LOL !

Makes you wonder how many newbies think thats the way to plow a garden or plow anything.
WOW! The guy is just trying to expand his garden. He never said he was an expert at plowing. He's just showing how he did it using the tools and equiptment that he had. Looks to me like he will have a nice workable garden when he is all done.
But all you "Experts" do is sit back and belittle the guy because it doesn't look perfect like you would do it. He's isn't at a plowing show or showing how everyone needs to do it. You can sit and laugh and mock and point out how stupid this moron is...but he's out there trying to do something instead of sitting at his computer making fun of the honest effort of someone. He's using what he has to do something better for his life....and all of you who are so much better sit at your computer and try to tear it apart. Your arrogance is very evident...as my Dad would say,"You all think your shi rt don't stink."
Seems like this site has turned into a elite perfect farmer/welder forum. I assume you will now flame me for my spelling and grammar errors............

Not at all Skybow, not for spelling and grammar, nor for the opinion.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
If I knew who it was and they were close, I'd help them.
Its not that I plow perfectly, but plowing in the wrong direction
and multiple times as he did is huge waste of fuel, could damage
his equipment (hence the need for welding) or worse, get someone hurt.
Not to mention the lesson to his son, who appears to be driving the tractor.
This is sad. All's a person has to do is watch Youtube to see how it's done correctly and I hope no one watches this video and thinks this is being done correctly.
Youtube is a great learning site and gives some great instructions on how to do things. This guy can make a good video but apparently can't watch and see how to actually do something.

I had a neighbor that started plowing like that, but he was smart enough to know it was wrong somehow and came and got me. I jumped on, gave a demonstration, and he was off and running. He was 30 something I was 14.

I think the right tires fell into the furrow, and he did all he could to get them back on dry ground!
My gripe isn't with this guy's - knowledge or lack of it, but with all the people with no shame? making youtubes of them doing something they know nothing about, showing you a newly purchased item... without taking it out of the #$%^ box... or so bad at aiming a video camera you get sicksick in your chair and throw up on the labtop....
