You're in a pretty bad spot, if you hate winter!

How did you end up there- born and raised? Took a wrong turn at Albequerque? Just curious- obviously you don't have to answer if you don't want. But we all like a good story, as you know.

Lyle,

Winter in Tennessee is NOTHING like your winter, but I agree
with you, I also hate winter.

I grew up in Northeastern Ohio on the edge of the lake effect
snow belt. I've also lived in Maine and Minnesota (among many
other places) and except for the four years that I lived in Miami,
I've hated winter wherever I was.

Good luck with your efforts to brave the elements.

Tom in TN

And your wild ducks and geese are down here for the winter basking in our small lakes.

We moved to TN from Indiana 2.5 years ago, I love to tease the locals when they say "man it's cold out!" I reply "no it ain't neither"

Lyle,
Looks to me like you got a pretty nice setup there, with the equipment you have. On the bright side, snow does far less damage to the saw blade than mud, unless you are sawing logs with mud froze on them LOL.
In your posts you have pictured a lot of Case tractors as in some of these pics. in this thread. Hop over to the Case forum and spend a little time with us over there and tell us about the Case tractors you have.

No wonder ya give up coffee. Mugs ain't got a finger hole big 'nuff fer yer mittens.....

Hi Lyle, Great pictures. With snow starting this early and it look's cold, I would agree with you about disliking winter. What part of northern Alberta do you live? Did you ever think about selling all your equipment and moving south/ You have a small fortune in machinery, setting there in the cold. Cheers, Murray

Well I see the td 18 is not to the mill yet. from the looks of the saw dust you have been enjoying that new shelter. Do the logs get frozen? Sure like the photos, like Tom said so far been a beautiful fall here in Tennessee 70 deg days and 45/50 nights. Sure would like to make my way up to see you next summer..I have collected/sold and used equipment all my life.

We don't get much snow but the wind would have that plastic
sheeting in the next county!. Happy Christmas Lyle!
