updated the loader on dads "WD" (pics)

My dad wanted to get rid of the trip bucket and mount a couple cylinders on his loader. So I mounted a 3 spool valve on the fender and plumbed the bucket into 1 spool and the loader into another. I also put the lift arms on the 3rd spool. It works slick. Very happy with how it turned out. Not as slow as I thought it would be either! It was a fun project.

Nothing wrong with work clothes! Most of mine are still in 'em too.
I ran several WD/WD45s as a kid, none of the ones I ran had PS.
The wide fronts could have really used it even without a loader.

Looks like it'll work. But I can tell you from experiance, you will probably have to replace some hydraulic lines. You will need to cut the lower cylinder feed line back near your cross brace and reroute the right cylinder line to a tee in your feed line. And tie down the lines to the cross brace! A branch or limb or something will come over the top of the bucket and sheer them off. They need to be protected somehow. One other thought, also. You have a narrow front. Keep that bucket low, especially on a grade. I lost a good friend who was carrying a rock in his bucket on a narrow front. The uphill tire hit another rock and flipped the tractor over on him. Please be careful with that thing.....

First WD45 with factory power steering came out in 1956. This is likely a WD45- has the curved shift lever, like all WD45s, and late 52 WD tractors. I do agree about re-routing the hyd hoses to the cross member of the frame.

Clearly shows power steering unit So the fellow did not say WD45. Have known lots of locals with AC tractors that call all WD even it they are 45. Guy had good time with his dad and shared with us Lay on on the exact part od his report

X2 on protecting those bucket dump hoses... They're not going to last long flopping in the breeze like that.

Thanks SAM! It is a straight WD. It is a factory powersteering unit off a WD45. The gear shifter was heated and bent at sometime in its life. I was thinking about the hoses as I was installing them. I will reroute them when the time comes! Thanks for enjoying.

Looks good.........I've got kinda attached to my trip bucket/fork.. Or maybe it's the attachment to the money it'll cost to convert  ..
Common sense and safety applies, but how is that narrow frt end with a loader? I have a wide frt and get in some pretty iffy positions with a round bale hangin on the loader....

Think if it was mine, I'd break out some heavy duty zip ties and make things a little safer maybe even tidy things up in the process...

Couldn't think of anything that'd dampen the pride of a completed and slick working project than one of them hoses popping loose and smacking you upside the head and/or squirting oil in your eyes with enough pressure to take em out.
