O.T. Game feeder suggestions

I need suggestions for the purchase of a automatic feeder (wild turkeys), my son in E Texas suggested one from Moultie, but the reviews say not good for cold weather. -20F is commen here with very little moisture. Help Please
Thanks Bill

Just plant a few acres of just about any grain crop to make money on and the Turkeys will eat all the profit. LOL They are thick around here and I would never think of feeding them anything but lead.

It's against the law to put out feed for any wild critter in AZ. If Game & Fish finds out, they can arrest the person.

get a clean 55 gal drum holds 6 bushels of corn weld legs on it and buy a spinner motor and timer off ebay and make your own ares is set up to fill once every two months... If you dont want the motor and timer connect a piece of 4 inch pvc to it and let it gravity feed out just have the pvc pie 3/4 inches from he ground...

i have several different brands, including moultrie and have found them all about equal.the problem in real cold weather is NOT the feeders, motors etc, but the batteries.thats a common problem with alkaline batteries, and will show up in just about any battery powered gizmo in real cold weather.ive had cd plyers i was using for coyote calling simply not run in real cold weather. what Ive found, a solar charger, and a rechargeable type battery makes them much less likely to give problems.game cameras often have the same problems.ive had feeders out running every day for as much as five years with chargers and rechargeable batteries in them. the ones without typically i will change batteries 3-4 times a year.i try to buy mine in the summer, because then are often on sale then.

Old friend, now passed, bought one of those things. Put it near a deer trial, and poured corn into it all summer. Opening day comes along, and Bill is sitting in his stand, bow and arrows at the ready. The big minute arrives, and the spinner starts it's cycle, spreading fresh grain all over the woods. It sounds like I-70 at rush hour in St.Louis. The whole woods comes alive with noise of scampering feet. Every squirrel for about a mile around came for dinner. Barrel got tossed the next day....
