A father and son were killed in a car wreck on the way home from Mayo Clinic after the son had a brain tumor removed. Link is attached. Sometimes things are just too tragic for words.

In Lincoln, NE yesterday afternoon a couple were killed in a car wreck while on the way to a celebration for their 50th anniversary.

Circumstances suggested the cause may have been health related, however.

It occurred while they were approaching a large traffic roundabout that's been controversial since it was completed earlier this fall. This will give the complainers more ammunition. I have no problem with the roundabout, myself, but I can see how it could be intimidating to an inexperienced or elderly driver.

Roundabouts are Ambiguous at Best..., throw in "cross-walks" and it becomes impossibly dangerous..

The section of road where the accident happened is in the news on a weekly basis. There is a 20 mile stretch of road that is still two lane and the traffic is heavy, especially trucks. I travel the road frequently and always feel better when I reach the four lane at either end.
