Last fall I took down the old barnyard fence thats been there better than 50 years. Worked the ground up and seeded to rye. This spring I worked that in and planted corn. I have never combined corn. We always picked and cribed it. Bought this 525 3 years ago so..... well, here's the pics. Hope you enjoy.

The pictures look great. I'd be happy to have any of that equipment. Don't see many of the early Oliver 1800s around here, but I do like their appearance. How did it and the other Oliver/MM tractor handle that chisel plow? The combine looks to be in great shape. Did you have issues running the 3 row head in a field planted with a 4 row planter?

Very nice pics. Thanks for sharing. I enjoy the machinery of days gone by still working today. Much simpler life.

Great pics I too love seeing and using the "old school" equipment and I like it even better when the equipment all matches it just seems right, no matter the brand thanks for sharing cnt

Thanks guys for the positive comments! Not really farming here as I have only 5 acres left of my dads farm, plus 2 small fields that I rent. I do this To help keep my sanity in this messed up world. (wife says she ain't so sure it's working :~).Don't hunt or fish but if the guys that do get as much out it as I get out of this, I understand. Most of my eqipment was bought out of a scrap yard or to keep it from going there. The 1800 a Was bought without a motor and junk tires. Its got an 88 motor in it now. The 1550 came home with a ford motor in it and missing all the sheet metal. It's got an 880 motor in it. The 1800 industrial came out of a junk yard. Motor was stuck, but not bad. They ain't much, but there mine. :~)

how did they get a Ford motor in the 1550??

The 880 is about the same as the 1550 motor anyway.

Were the chisel plows Olie too?

Good pictures..

With a cuttig torch and a welder:~). It was a cobbled mess. 550 motor is the same as a 770 880 motor required some modifications.

Ya, I knoked some down. Not to bad though. Didn't help that the planter is set at 28' and the header is 30''.

Great to see I grew up with Olivers had a 525,1800 hopped up,880d turned up,sweet little supper 88d and my fav.1950 453 detroit 71 inj gov set at 3200 what a screaming beast for a 17yr old to plow with
