How many acres per hour would you estimate with 3-14 plow. I will be turning in green material into field that was cropped last 8 years.

Depends how fast your tractor will pull your plow. My little 8 N pulling 2-14's in the 10 acre garden does about an acre an hour. I would guess you would do 1 1/2 to 2 acres per hour.

Need more info.Long or short runs? How fast is your ground speed?Back when I used a 3-14 I was anywhere from 1/2 to 2 acre per hr.The average was about 1 a/h.

Farmer's old rule-of-thumb; width in feet times mph divided by 10 gives acres per hour......with a generous allowance for calls of nature, unplugging equipment, etc.

I usually figured about half an acre per hour, per bottom. Larger plows, like 6-18, I'd do much better. Twelve foot chisel does about 5-6 acres per hour with enough snoose in front.

That depends on the tractor pulling the plow, soil conditions, type of soil, moisture and how deep then what kind of a plow are the shears not worn and sharp last is the plow set correct and is the ground hilly should be able to do an acre an hour or better.

After it is all said and done figure one acre per hour but variables such as tractor hp, soil type, etc. will have an affect.

Your a Red man Delta,IH back in the 60s advertised 806s and 1206s could do 10A per hour.I don't know any one that did,40As in 5-5 1/2 hrs was the best I ever did,250hp 4x4 with 6-18s.

What sort of tractor do you have? (model/hp/ect) What kind of plow? (ie, 3-point, old pull type, semi-mounted, ect) What condition is the plow in? Describe the field you're plowing. (ie, hilly or flat, hard packed clay, sandy loam, dry or reasonable moisture, ect...) How much experience do you have with a plow?

18 acres in 12 hours is very much doable in good conditions, or that could be a steep hill to climb.

Width in feet x mph divided by 8.25 x effiency in a decimal value. i.e- 0.80 for 80% effiency. 100% effiency @ 4mph is 1.7acre/hour.

I have pulled 3-16s with a John Deere 70 at local plow days and figured I did about two acres an hour

Old general rule of thumb was 1/2 acre per hour per bottom. Lots of things can affect this, shape and size of the field, horsepower of tractor, general plowing conditions, etc. You should figure on 1-1/2 acres per hour as a guess.
