Jimmy,
Really neat. Looks like your friend has his work cut out for him - a great project. This F20 looks about like our Regular brought it home. Will your friend leave it rusty or paint it?

I bet that ol' girl sure got some looks from people coming and going from the restaurant. Not too often one gets to see an antique tractor in town.

SweetFeet,My freind is in his 40s,and has never had a job,he works on these old ones for a living, and does very well,he probally has a 100 plus old Farmalls and McCormicks,He doesnt beleive in paint, hell use wd 40 several times a year to preserve them. All of his tractors will start with a crank or two.If anyone comes out this way it would make a good visit,We also have a mutual freind that has about 300 old tractors under roof, and he loves people to come and look

DeltaRed: Dad had a an F-20 with the steering column and seat raised like yours. There was an assembly bolted to the dirreential housing that allowed you to raise and lower cultivators. We were located in central Indiana. It was interesting tractor to drive with the cable brakes. Thank you for the picture.

Jimmy,

Very neat to hear that she won't get painted! Husband and I have become big fans of rust or original faded paint, if not rusty.

My husband's tractors all start with a just a crank or two, also - it is something he takes pride in.

Would be so much fun to see the guy's 100+ Farmalls & McCormicks (and the other guy's too)... but we do not travel much at all. Maybe sometime you could post some photos of your friend's rusty Farmalls. We just love rusty, old anything - but especially Farmalls.

When I was in collage, a classmate fabed in an Olds 494, and 4spd auto trany in one of them. in the Ag shop. He took it out onto the road. We clocked him at 50mph, and it was a shakin and wobbling at that speed, and he haden't hardly opened the 494 up.
