OT - Sunday Dinner Anyone?

Beautiful day today in Mid-Michigan, decided to rotisserie a chicken.
Along with some veggies from the garden, made for nice slow Sunday dinner.

The wife made a pork roast. I prefer beef of course,but a pork roast with some good gravy is OK now and then.

Last Sunday we had our Thanksgiving dinner with over 20
people put three table in line from the dinning room to the
living room nice have them together and open. We had a 21
lb turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams, jelly cranberry
sauce and lots of pumpkin and apple pies. YUM, YUM.

Stir-fry here. Baby reds, carrots, green beans,
home grown roast pork chunks, fried in olive oil.
While that was frying I made a batch of almond
cookies with some of my whole wheat stoned ground
flour and sweetened with honey. Gotta go. The timer
just went off. Cookies are done.

Made a pot of German niffles like mother and grandmother used to make. Hot Campbell"s Bean and Bacon soup over them, and topped with carmelized onions. Swiss cheese or Emmenthal is good melted on top also. My oldest son is home on leave from the Citadel (Marines), so we stuff ourselves once in awhile. Next Saturday, I"ll make a batch of soft German pretzels that we"ll gorge on, and he can take the rest back to school. The pretzel dough has a bottle of good German dark bier in it like Warsteiner or Spaten.
