Issue with Stihl Ms280 chain saw

I went to take the spark plug off the saw to check it and the end of the spark plug wire came completely off. The end of the wire left was all green and corroded. I then broke the saw down further and found the spark plug wire and magneto was all one piece. I thought perhaps I would change the spark plug wire but found that wasn't an option. Is this something that can be repaired or do I have to get a whole new magneto with the wire on it.

Whole new mag is needed. Stihl part # 1133-400-1350 $62.50 There is a boot and terminal end availible, but if it was bad enough to break the wire I wouldn't mess around with it.
Also, some dielectric grease will help for next time

Hello Stephen Newell,
You can cut the spark plug lead and put in a new piece. A piece of copper wire between the two, some shrink wrap, and you'll be good to go.
Cheaper then the new mag, if it is still good, and it works!
Guido.
