The power is still off,but getting gas is easier now,the lines arent as long, snuck away to the library tonight to post hello to all! Not to much damage in Pa,and the power is on there, but the wife does not want to leave nj

Larry,
Glad you are surviving in Jersy. Why doesn't the wifey want to go to PA, where it is warm and toasty. Did you get any snow there? we got nothing. Saw your post yesterday that the preserved PA food was paying off for you.
Is there anything I can do to help you? I can pack my tool belt, tools and a sleeping bag and be there Mon. morning if it would help you out.
Loren, the Acg.

Hey Larry I here it is getting real cold out your way so many you can open up that other freezer and get some of that food out. Hope your keeping warm I know how hard it can be to do

It might do you both good to go to PA for the weekend! Though that may make it tougher to come back if the power is still off next week.

Hang in there you guys.

I know how you feel. It's like a camping trip and you want to go home but can't. After Hugo we were without power for 11 days and we were very lucky. Hope things get better soon.
Ron

If there is no reason to stay guard at the NJ house, I would be in Penn until the power came back on.

In Penn you can get a little tractor time, and relaxation time. Aren't those the same thing.

Can you leave the wife in NJ or is that not such a good idea :)

Rick

Still stands that that a person should be responsible to look after themselves and their families.
A modest generator , a stash or fuel, a camp stove, lantern and some canned goods cost less than a big screen TV. No problems finding the $$$ for the TV.
As for the eye, it was partly a warning to others to be careful.
The eye is still full of blood and clots. It's like looking through a fish bowl filled with black pepper and a couple of swimming leaches.
The debris may flush out in the next month or two.

I do have a genarator and had 30 gals of fuel for it,the computer ,tv,and phone does not work,we had a small electric heater, and kept the fridge cold and the freezer frozen,
