Corn Harvest is done

We got corn done, average a little of 100 bu/acre on 200 acres of corn. This was in Eastern Iowa near Cedar Rapids.

David my neighbors in east central Indiana finished up just before the remnants of Sandy hit. They were concerned about big time lodging. They got roughly the same corn yield.

We had 2 waxy hybrids, the drought resistant did about 120-140 and the normal did about 50-70. I am glad we ran the mix.

Sorry but this is a really dumb question, is that a fair yeild or poor? I have never farmed and I have been wondering about this year with the drought we had. I am on this site a lot reading a lot of the postings but was waiting to read one like this.

What is a good yield for profit? I have extended family that farming is their livelihood but have never asked them. Don't see them that often to think about it.

Thanks for the response. Sorry to hear, that it didn't go so well this year. Figured with the weather we had this year it would be a lot worse but I guess there isn't anything you can do about the weather. Best of luck
