Just talked to Larry. His wife and him are alright, their home was not damaged, they have a generator for electric, their neighbor has a well for water supply. SO their doing fine. No one they know of was hurt or killed. So their just without power and have tree damage to be cleaned up. I will keep you updated.

Thank you for the update on Larry and family JD.
I was wondering how things were going out his way.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear they are OK. Thought it may have been something like that but as far as I can remember, Larry was the only one that hadn't checked in. There may be more but I can't remember them all and where everyone lives.

Just an FYI,i am also from Jersey and this state is a total mess.Tree's are down all over, about 3/4 of the state is with out power. Everyone with a generator including myself are doing o.k. but the lines at the gas stations have about a two hour wait to get gas and many are limiting how much you can get. This morning on my way to work a lot of the stations are out of gas and closed.

That"s good to hear! Thanks for checking on him and passing the news on to us. Let him know we"ve been thinking about him.

Just got power back about 15 mins. ago. Lots of trees and power lines down here also. I was fortunate and only lost some roof shingles. Went thru about 20 gals of gas in the generator. Amazing how you appreciate something once you don't have it for awhile. Hope all affected are doin OK.

Good news! hope he kept his camera dry. should be better shots than we are getting on telly over here!

Glad to hear Larry@Stines and family are doing ok.
Hope all others affected will come through ok too.

This great news. This is one of the things that I really like about this site, the way everyone looks out for each other. Seems like a family. We might fight amongst ourselves but don"t let an outsider {weather or whatever} jump in.

good deal!..i'm curious how they are going to hadle the voting.bound to be a huge mess in lots of places.

He it probably keeping low and out of the way eating his canned stuff till all the wind blows by and the power is back on. Hope him the best

Thanks for the update JD. Glad to hear they are ok.
I do kinda hope the storm ruined all his squash though.
That'll teach him not to eat the nasty things.

Al, I'm happy to hear you and yours are OK, also. I saw a picture on the news showing the lines waiting for gas. I believe that was worse than the "gas shortage" in the seventies.

Good to hear he's ok. Now, all he has to do is sit back and wait for the government man to come past and give him some money to help him dig out from underneath the storm.......

that's good news. hope the rest of the country can get back to normal soon.daughter in Cleveland Ohio is out of electric for the second day.

That's good news. 'Good thing they dug all those potatoes last weekend......might be a little muddy now. Thanks JD for checking on him.

Glad Larry is OK. Some friends of ours may not be so lucky. Bob & Kris live on one of the barrier islands of New Jersey, been evacuated for five days and may be another week before they can return to whatever. They are no different than lots of others, and all of them need our prayes.

I was sitting in line waiting to load some feed. I got to thinking that I might have his cell phone number. So I finally found it and gave him a call. Then called home and had my wife post the news for you guys.

Had a nice chat with him and his lovely wife. Real nice people.

He said that about 80% of the town had tree damage but his little town had not flooded. They did not get the great big amounts of rain. He said that They where doing fine just had clean up to do.

He said that he had a bunch of pictures but no land line for the Internet. So look out for when he gets it back. LOL He will have a lot of them for us.

If you read this before you come up to Pa. When you get off interstate 78 at New Smithville and make a left. Go to stop sign where pizza joint is and make a right on old 22. Go about 1/4 mile and you'll see a whole barn came down from the wind. That pizza joint/bar lost their metal roof also.
