great news! i had mine out 8 years ago. afterwards, i went for psa test every 3 mos and dr visit every 6 mos, for several years. a year ago last april, psa had been stable long enough that i need psa only 6 mos and drs visit 1x/yr. the hardest part for me was the sitting around after the operation, waiting to heal. "quality of life" is good too. i'm glad for you.

you other guys reading, get checked regularly. i kept putting off getting a physical. if i had waited 6 mos longer, i wouldn't be here now. the cancer was that close to breaking out of the prostate.

Good News. Had a tumor removed from my kidney three weeks ago,..was stage two cancer,..all is clear and follow up cat scan in 6 months.

Congratulations. My mom is almost 2 yrs canser free now after her masectomy. She had a couple of scares since then but just set backs. It is amazing how it can change your life and gives you a little touch with reality.

After my moms' ordeal, I signed up with the Be the Match program as a bone marrow donor. I have been called and I have donated for a Leukemia paitient since. It was a very touching experience. The paitient survived as a result of my donation. I fell so blessed that my mom was able to overcome her ordeal, I just wanted to give back a little.

Congratulations

Great news!
Glad you're feeling well enough to go back to work.
It can get pretty discouraging sitting around home.
Best of luck!

Congratulations!

Tomorrow I go in for blood tests to see if I'm clean now from Colo-Rectal Cancer. Had radiation, then surgery, and finished 6 months of chemo in August. Still suffering from the chemo.

It is not fun but get those colonoscopies done when you turn 50.
