Worked out slicker'n snot............ My tractor had the older manifold that could just be flipped and the cheaper stack adapter from the 50+ HP models.. He couldn't find a muffler to fit it without looking like a big thumb on the smaller tractor, so they put the adapter on the lathe and took 3mm off. Just have to measure and put a hole in the hood and cut a few inches off the length and clamp on the raincap.... I's happy..... Took longer to loosen and tighten the sheet metal than doing the swap....

yea.... nice shiney/new one. Just gotta take a couple inches off the length first. Will do that after work today, supposed to rain tomorrow...

guy put me together a dummy box with new nuts/washers, a glob of the lube (antisieze?), new gaskets, and a glob of copper paste for the stack/adapter connection... Told me to measure for the hole in the hood and bring it to the shop and they'll cut a true hole and smooth itlike it's supposed to be there.... No charge. Bottle of JD every now and then goes a long way
