Rainy day thoughts

It is raining here for the second time since June (it seems like). Anyways just got to thinking about the big questions in life and here is my thought: When I was a little kid there were a lot of old people and not a whole lot of younger ones, now ther are not as many old people but a lot more young ones.
Do you think old people are going extinct? global warming? UFO's? :) maybe I need to find a hobby.

Old folks won't go extinct. They're making more every day. Global warming? Politics, plain and simple. UFOs? I've seen things, but the jury's still out.

As far as rain, been doing it here for two and a half weeks straight. Finally supposed to be over with til tomorrow night. Trying to get some of this sloppy mess hauled out and get some cattle bedded so the poor critters can lay down.

according to some reports ive read, theres 300,000 young folks coming of age to enter the workforce each month in the US. only 100,000 retiring each month. doesnt take much math to figure out the overpopulation, lack of jobs problem. if you figure one couple having two children, its entirely possible for that original couple to become 32 or more in a single generations lifetime.

Yep, mom was one of 9 children on the farm. Grandma is now 96 and she has well over 100 grand and great grandchildren. I guess it's a good thing that not everyone has familys this size anymore.

When I was a kid I thought everyone around 50 was as old as dirt. Now that I will be 50 in a month they don’t seem old at all. Hmmm wonder why that is. My dad and all my buddies dads where retiring back in the late 70s most of them around 55. I have no hope of pulling that off. Maybe 75.

As father time takes a toll on my body, I also seem to be seeing about a 100% increase in the number of funerals that I am attending.
Guess the ice I"m walking around on is starting to get pretty thin.

I'm 65, i never thought about dying young but never saw myself as an old man either. Did you know that 3 out 4 people makes up 75 percent of the population? Heck; maybe we both need a hobby.

Maybe you need to take a trip to Florida this winter. It would change your outlook about old people going extinct. 10,000 babyboomers retire each day....(OH- _NOW_ I see, everyone _SEEMS_ young when you're old)
