Did Anybody else get the bad gas from BP
a couple months ago?
They paid for a fuel system service on My
'01 Olds mini van. And other than the inconvenience of the poor performance and then waiting for the dealer to get to it, They
handled it pretty good.
In todays mail I got a $100 prepaid visa card as an apology from BP.
This weekends road trip is paid for, Yippee!

I can see every bubba in their 50 buck hoopty claimin that BP gas screwed em up and getting free work or just a settlement to buy beer, a bag of dope, and another hoopty....

Remember in the early 80s' Quaker State had a similar problem. They produced a bunch of oil without a 'flow additive' for cold weather use. My kid brother got a batch of it and destroyed the crankshaft in his 69' ElCamino on a sub-zero morning. Quaker State was real good about getting things squared away. The adjuster showed up and we bottled the oil in a plastic milk jug for him. 2 days later he called with an address and claim number and said mail in the repair bill. No problem.
A couple people did ask if we saved any of the oil so they could get a 'sample'. Dad told them no.

Why not? Just because he got some bad gas one time doesn't mean it's always all bad everywhere. BP stations would be packed full of dead cars if it were a real problem.

You got just as much of a chance getting burned by any station on the street as BP. Probably less at a BP than an old rickety independent station because they tend to have newer tanks and higher turnover on their fuels.

The irony is I bought it from a Marathon station!
In northwest Indiana most gas comes out of the BP refieries in Hamond In.
The station owner needed fuel and BP was His third choice. His main supplier couldnt get to Him till late the next day.

i'll have your car serviced and give you $100 to go through it again. worth it? BP is criminal and your reaction is exactly what they wanted, and expected, to hear.

What?????? They fixed his car and gave him 100 bucks to boot. If he's happy with that whats the problem?

obviously none on his part or yours either. sorry you can't see the big picture. patronize and criticize whatever business you please and i'll do the same.

Yes! I fueled up there once a few weeks ago and will never do it again! Van ran like garbage until that fuel was out of it. I usually go to a Sunoco or Stop N Go and have no problems.
