Not about the Yankees

They touched on a phrase that I still remember being told many years ago- "Character is how you act when you know nobody's looking."

I have talked to several people who said they could never vote for Romney because he's a Mormon. I don't agree with the precepts of their faith, but I have not known many Mormons who are not good people, my wife's boss being one of the best. From what I've seen, they are not like Jehovah's Witnesses, who keep pushing on you to convert; they make a run at you initially, but once they know you're not interested, they back off.

My coffee buddy is one who would never vote for a Mormon. He's normally a nnalert, a pretty good Union man. But he told me this morning that he (reluctantly) voted for Romney (Its vote by mail in Washington- we already have our ballots). He said its just become too obvious that external_link is not up to the job. Beyond "campaigner in chief", there's just not much there.

I have a feeling that this will be replicated enough across the country to put Mitt over the top, in the final analysis. The cover up of the murder of the Libyan ambassador will be the final nail. I don't care if we "win ugly"- a win is a win, and the future of the country is at stake.

(quoted from post at 16:13:43 10/20/12) Being aired on CBS I kept waiting for "the other shoe to drop".
Me too. Got me to wondering what the other guy did to pizz CBS off.
