Strange stuff.....

Wish we had less of the stuff....rivers all full yesterday morning,
went down about 3 feet during the day and 12 hrs rain last night
again, I have over 60 acres under water now! and my neighbours
still have crop to harvest. Cattle prices are falling daily as most of
the winter rations have been used up this 'summer?. ' Balage
making as far as £40 each already and cheques bouncing back from
the banks!!!!..........There will be a lot less farmers next year.

Last good rain we got was early July, then about 1/2 in Aug and a couple of sprinkles. We really needed this.

In my area we are 10 inches behind for the year and what we have been getting is to little and to late to do much more then green up the fields. Yes a lot better then no rain but sure would have been nice to have it in May or June so we would have gotten a good hay crop instead of half a crop

They are saying that we are behind about 17 inches for the year. Way too late for us. But we need the rain in hopes of a better year next year.

Ya at least if we get rain now maybe we can catch up to what we are missing so then maybe have enough to make something grow in the spring. I have 2 small lakes one is feed with a spring and it is almost dry and the other feed by a branch and a spring and it is not much better off
