Hummm is going easy on it... I would have called that tractor axle a long list of really nasty.... adjectives??? She didn't get hurt did she? That can rattle yer cage eh???

We had a Hitachi once. Little thing. No wheels. Just add charcoal and cook hotdogs and hamburgers on it.
I didn't want to hyjack someone else's post, but it's OK to hyjack my own???
So there were no snakes in that parts yard? Must be no field mice or kangaroo rats for em. Being 2 hours from Boston, I know all about Ireland... and how ...???? was it Saint Patrick or the Kennedys that chased the snakes off the island??
I just got the new furrows today... I suppose I should have braved the heat and drove to Mo, it looks like you folks had too much fun there! Irish and British contingents? And field trips? I have got to be more dedicated in future.... Hey! do the Shannon/Boston flight, come here and 'make me' go..... I doubt if I put up much of a fight...

She's not too bad with that straight pipe. At idle, you can instruct someone in the operator's seat with a normal voice. My only reference for what the exhaust should be were a very few old pictures and a restored machine in a museum in Woodland, CA.

Wish I had the side panels for it. I think these are not a really common machine.

This is how the machine looked the day I purchased it for one dollar in running condition...
