O/T Broken steel fuel lines on Chevy gas tank

I was changing the fuel pump on my 95 chevy 3/4 truck. When I loosen the compression fits, the fuel lines twisted off. What are my options? I assume I will need something stronger than rubber gas hose.
Thank you

Assuming you got the fitting out, take it to the autostore to duplicate it. If the line is in a secure and modestly cool (not near an exhaust manifold) a section of fuel injection rated fuel line hose can be used. It is more well reinforced. Put at least an inch and a half on each end over the new steel tube. and use two Fuel injection rated (band and screw) clamps on each end. Not the worm screw clamps. Jim

Thank you Jim, Being a Sunday afternoon, I was not able to call them for advise. I am glad to hear that I will not have to buy a new unit.

Save yourself the trouble and danger of rigging. Buy a new sender. Spectra makes them, they are only about $100.
