OT, but I thought about my tractor....

Some pictures from my hunt this year, had to come out early because of some poachers, so bullwinkle lives another year. Going back into the same area once we get some snow after caribou, though.

Our camp the first night. We are lining canoes up river in a no motor vehicles area.

sixtyninegmc,
Beautiful scenery. Must be hard to come back to civilzation after being in a spot like that.

Don, my "bear bell" is always with me, made by winchester. Only saw one grizzly this trip, and he was headed out of the valley as soon as he knew we were there.

SweetFeet, that is very true. I used to live and work in those mountains at a remote lodge, a friend and I try to get in there as often as possible.

Nancy, the little scrub willows you see get big enough at he base to burn, and there are LOTS of beavers in the area, that generate a lot of driftwood. Not a big fire by any means, but enough to warm up the hands and roast some sausages.
