Our grass finally came out of the drought, but now army worms are bad. I was wondering if there is any type of granular pellets or something that I could put out to kill them. I dont have a sprayer but do have a buggy to spread seed and fertilzer. Should I borrow a spray rig and use chemical or is there another way. Thanks

if you have army worms you need to spray asap or the grass will be gone,i don't know of any granular insecticides that would work

If you need the hay or grass call the local co-op or hire someone fast! I seen them here too. Wiped out 15 ac of alfalfa and got to 10 ac of grass before we hit them with Warrior II. He noticed them Saturday afternoon and we lit their @@@ on fire this morning. Good luck.

Had them once in Dallas. Was told only thing that would work was to spray Malathion. Didn't have a sprayer and couldn't afford it anyway. Got some granules (diazanon I think) and put them out with the fertilizer spreader. Killed them quick.

It's probably too late now.... buf if there is still something there get it sprayed post haste with Malathion or Sevin. Either one will kill them dead. You can watch them curl and die as you pass over them...
