We started picking corn today. I can not believe how good the corn is considering we had little rain all summer. The field is not done yet, but unless something seriously changes the field will average 190 bpa. As you can see my helper was glad to be there, and then he fell asleep

Must be going around as I got to wake up one of my helpers today as he was asleep in the tractor. Darn college kids!
The corn has been a nice suprise that is for sure. As of dark tonight we have 80 acres of corn left to pick. I'm ready to be done!

As of dark tonight we have about 20 acres done lol. I'm sure we have some corn that isn't this good, but I just can't believe that it is. The field is doing better this year than it did last year. Its pretty green for what we usually pick, but it is testing around 17 percent
 
I have no idea why that picture is upside down. I had to take a picture of it because I wouldn't have believed it if I wouldn't have seen it. Also while you can make those monitors say whatever you want, its pretty darn close to what the elevator scales are telling us too.
 
Well it is nice to hear somebody is finding some corn. We are in what looks to be the best corn we are going to see this year, a whopping 60-70 bu. and we just came from a field that made 45 and had 30 pbb aflatoxin. Hopefully our beans do better.

Congrats on great yields this year - all things considered!

Great photos. Adorable helper. Our kids used to ride in the combine too... and fall asleep.
 
Been opening corn feilds, low moisture, high test weight, so far running about 140 avg. Have yet to get into the higher yeilding hybids. Soybeans at the home farm were dismall, no rain ghere since 7/20. Rented farms seem to be much better.
