Updates on Prayer Requests Dad,Uncle,And Wife

I thank each one of you that has prayed for my family members and apologize for not letting you know how they are doing.
Dad is holding his own at home with mom taking care of him with help from us kids on weekends. She has good neighbors that help her get him in and out of the car or if he slips down.
Uncle that we thought was at deaths door is doing great they put in three stints in his heart and he is home doing fie and riding his bicycle to the Huddle house each morning for breakfast.
Thursday My wife finally got surgery to put her badly broken leg(both bones right above the ankle)13 days after it happened. It seems to hurt worse now but we feel we are on the road to recovery.

Ron , thanks for update, will continue to remember your family in our prayers. Wow, hard to imagine having to wait 13 days for that surgery
 
Does your uncle realize that eating breakfast in a restaurant every day is probably the main contributor to his heart problems?
 
Well he's 87 years old and He rides his bike to the restaurant(about 1/2 mile) and gets a strawberry waffle. This is the first heart problem he has ever had. I don't think that's to bad. But I will speak to him if you think I should.

I don't know a 1/2 mile to the restaurant and 1/2 mile back on a bike has to be doing some cardio for him. That and the daily trip gives him something to do and look forward to. I'd guess it might actually be doing him some good. If it wasn't let's look at the quality of life issues, if skipping the waffles gives him say another year but he doesn't do anything has he traded quality for quantity? Biggest point IT'S HIS DECISION, I'd be tickled if I could ride a bike 1/2 mile to the local restaurant when I'm in my late 80's
 
Just tell him to get the whipping cream on that waffle & flirt with the wait staff. At 87 he should live well & look forward to each day...

Glad to hear that everyone is on the mend, especially your wife. Hope her pain level decreases soon and now with the surgery done, her real healing can begin.
