Stopped at my brother's this evening, he was filling silo bag so made sure the boys got a chance to watch a little bit. I no longer actively farm but still live next door and hope that they will have interest in at least working there. 4 year old twins and 2 1/2 year old brother, a lot of people think we have triplets.

Maybe those boys can now tell me how that works. I assume it fills as you move forward, and this photo is at the end of the bag?

As bag fills it pushes tractor and packer forward. The line on side of bag is hooked to brake system, one on other side too. The bag is folded up on machine and come in several lengths.

Great picture.Reminds me of my youth hanging out with my two older brothers when my father worked on a dairy farm for a couple of years.

Those bags are a real pita only way I'd use them is an emergency situation otherwise build a bunker silo. Last time we used them 12 years ago the bags were $1500.00 each and cannot be reused we had trouble with a year old bag the birds pecked holed in it causing it all to spoil
