O/T Corn Damage

I thought I knew a lot about wildlife but I am puzzled. My corn food plot has several ears of corn on the ground that are husked clean and very little damage to the kernnels. I think mice and rabbits may nibble a few and turkeys might pick some kernels. Any ideas? I don't know if I could husk them that clean. Do deer eat the husks?

I should add, you better get a handle on it quick. They will be back with the whole clan and wipe out the stand. If I remember I snap a picture of a spot in some field corn where they have downed about a 100'x50' corner.

Sounds to me like you better get to combining. It's dropping ears on it's own. No wildlife involved.

Are the husks pulled open or did the ear fall out clean?

Gary;

It appears the ears fell out on their own. No husks or remnants attached. I have seen deer tracks but no raccoons.
