Bill I'd have to go with the JD R. Reason.....My dad retired from the US Army in 71 and started farming in 72. He owned 2 tractors while he was farming. An AC CA and the JD R. I always like that tractor, wish I could justify buying one right now or even better find his.

If you're buying for a combination of collecter value and usability, hard to beat the Oliver 1850 FWA. FWA always adds a lot of value, and the Perkins in the 1850 is hard to beat. The other two Olivers you mentioned and the MM 1350 would also be good choices, IMHO. But I don't know anything about the Fords you mentioned.

For a tractor to use, the 1850, simply because it has the 354 in it, after that the most interesting is probably one of the Fords.

Just buying a tractor to have. I'd buy the 5010 or R. Reason being I like bigger Deere tractors. If I had one of each of those tractors I'd look at the 1850 FWA or 2150 FWA. I like the styling on those models from Oliver. Plus a FWA model would add a little bit from a collector stand point. Just my two cents. Let us know what they go for please.

Interesting line up for one owner. I like green - 5010 had rod problems and the R has PTO problems and Pony motor is another story. Post back with the auction results in dollars to see how they are selling in your area. Each to his own as you see. Ifinnn buying the R Make sure the Pony motor starts. Parts are ruff too find.
