Son is starting on our 10 cord wood. sawing spliting then comes my time in tractor cab loading truck. Daughters 10 cord is next, seems just like last week we had cooler weather , and leaves are comming down. Still have 3 1/2 rows of potatos in the ground yet to harvest. After wood, comes the tractor shed bracing and tarping till next spring, then siding and a door. Lots to do.Hope all is going well with all you wood burning guys. LOU.

Is the wood you're processing for this season or next? I try to stay a year ahead so it has time to cure. Need pictures, always fun to SEE what others are doing!

Same over here in Mn Lou, started 10+/- cords wood last weekend. Drug up tree length last Feb. when we had no snow. Getting processed for this coming winter. According to forcast might need a little fire next week. I"d like to be a year ahead but gets too dry for outdoor boiler. Lots to do here also before deer season.

Finished up with my 12 cord, and my in laws 8 cord just last week. Have had a fire burning for 3 nights now and looking like I'll keep it going for a while....

Since we had no snow last winter, son an I cut all winter, even bought a new splitter. old one was 31 years old and wore out. We each have about 22 cords split and stacked, we should each be set for 3 years for house and shed, shop. Should have bought that new 37 ton splitter 20 years ago!! what a thing of beauty compared to the old home built one, I don't think I could have built it for what we paid. Have trees down again from wind this year and got more fence lines to clean, so wood cutting isn't going away anytime soon. Have a good one!!

It is always better when you can use hydraulic muscle!! I always figured that you had to handle it 8 times before you got any heat out of it.

I was thinkin' about trying to grow potatos again. Tried to do it in the past and they got infested with bugs.
