Ford 1500 4x4

I am trying to find out what my tractor is worth?
Every thing works well, front end loader is banged up pretty bad, would be easy to weld and straighten out.
Anybody with any idea about price on a traade in or sale, dealer offered me $1500.00 which I laughed at.
I have no photoes and am not good with the puter, but I could probably get a couple of photoes off on line if anybody is interested.
Location north central Arkansas bout 2 hours south of Springfield, MO.

A dealer will always offer less than what you can get for it, selling it yourself - he has to leave room for his profit. Unfortunately, you may not get a significantly better offer than the dealer's. The 1500 was one of the early Japanese-built compact Fords, and many parts cost more than the tractor is worth, or can't be had (new) at all.

seems like that little tractor would have taken some abuse to tear up a front loader..... I think if I was looking, I'd walk away. Hard to say without being there tho....

Here"s one on Ebay they are asking $2500. for.Several parts on there also.

I see them every so often for sale. 4x4 and loader helps a little. If its not that banged up, used verus abused, I think $4000 would be tops. Those are a mid 70s era, someone can buy a lot newer tractor with more HP for a few more $$.

Dont always believe the prices you see on tractorhouse either.

The dealer is probably pretty close to what it's wholesale value is. You would probably get somewhat more selling privately... ie, you'll get his margin. Mabey.
As noted already... the 1500 is a 70's era compact and a good many parts are NLA or only available in expensive assemblies that are worth more than the tractor. My advice to anyone buying one today is always the same... don't pay more than you can afford to lose because you never know when you might end up scrapping it.

(quoted from post at 14:26:22 09/12/12) Thank you to DH in Carolina, the one in the pic. is only a 2 wheel drive.
Getting a pretty good idea bout where to start on $

Niels, you should be able to get more than 1500 out of it provided it runs well and the shet metal is good. Broken up/bent loader is an indication that a tractor was abused. You may do better off fixing the loader before trying to sell it.

I know when I look at a tractor with loader the first thing I look for are crack aor repairs on the loader. If the loader is pretty beat up I walk away. So removing the loader may help sell the tractor. The repaired loader could bring a pretty good price for just the loader.
