Antique Tractor Auction

Who gets the 10% buyers fee? Is it the seller or the auctioneer? Don't like "paying" to buy items.

The auctioneer gets it. As well as the commission from the seller. That's double dipping and it's not right. I refuse to attend an auction with a buyers fee. Not willing to pay just for the "privelige" of doing business with certain auctioneers.

OK... that's what I was thinking - auctioneer. And I agree with you - we don't care to "pay" for the privlege of buying (no matter WHO gets the extra cut).

Might just hurt their auction.

I don't like that 10%any more than you do! I didn"t know any thing about that till i seen the bill they are getting 15% from me besides

Plus a "fee" for anything with a reserve price that doesn't sell?
Hard to make a living as an auctioneer I guess.
Most auctioneers around here do it as a second/part time job.
