Anyone have a picture or know anything about the Friday/Love orchard tractor in the parade? I would like to see more pictures of it.

I found one picture of it that I'd taken of it last Saturday. Pretty unique tractor.

Tom, that's a Deere 2020 Orchard, not the Friday Orchard that he's looking for. Here's a picture of the Friday that was in the parade, but obviously not on parade day. Lon

Oops! Thanks for getting me educated on this. I do remember seeing the front of that particular tractor as it was coming down the horse track.

Thanks Lon! I appreciate seeing a good picture of it. All Friday tractors are unique and one of a kind. The fenders look really small on this one and it has the Fordson cutdown front wheels and probably the Fordson tractor front end. I didn't know any O48 models used this, so it could be an earlier model.

You should see the pictures of what that Friday looked like when he started working on it, it was not a basket case, it was scrap metal!

(quoted from post at 01:09:03 08/29/12) I think that tractor is owned by a fellow from Inbred, Nebraska.

First of all the Friday is owned by a man who is a very fine craftsman that brought this piece of scrap back from the grave to a fine looking sweet running machine that I for one would be proud to own.

Will it pass the test of this forum’s correct police that seem to always want to display their superior knowledge by find something to criticize? I doubt it.

With a Friday that begin life as a shop built Doodle Bug and was assembled largely from parts on hand even after Friday begin regular production. It is my understanding that there was never 100% uniformity; of build specifications; but that will not stop the attacks and criticism that it is not “100% original”

I do not know the Owner/Restorer of the Friday personally but have followed several of his projects as he posted them. He used to post here but has moved his posting to several other forums and I have not seen him post on YT in a long time. Only he knows the exact reasons for his not posting here anymore but rest assured it is probably the same reason many have quit posting on YT.

Now the thing that set me off was the Post by Billcollectors taking a shot at the name of John’s home town, among friend it could have been an amusing little jab that was humorous.

Billcollector you did know that your IP was listed even though you attempted to hide your identity by posting as a quest, for anyone that cares to look for it your regular posting name is also available.

Since “Billcollector” (using his regular posting handle) also posts on another forum where I thought he had meet and was friends with the owner/restorer of the Friday I don’t understand this little backdoor action, I really think “Billcollector” should be posting on the other forum to smooth some ruffled feathers and “Billcollector” if you have been on the other forum you know what I mean.

To all others trying to hid your identity by posting as a guest seldom works, If your IP is a fixed address as many are, your identity is traceable for anyone that wants to spend a little time searching it out. So if you don’t want to own what you say, don’t post it.

Ok Rant is over!
