For some time there have been conspiracy LIARS that said that in 1969 Neil Armstrong and crew did not actually go to the moon. They said this was a Hollywood stunt.

I just saw a movie commerating Neils death and it had actual footage, with some narration by Walter the CBS anchor for Viet Nam and the era.

Well for the dooms day whiners you are LIARS as usual. They said there were no stars in the film footage from the Moon. LIE there were stars, just didn't happen to be in the shots taken by the flag. They were in the shots when Neil and co got off the LM.

More LIE testimony: When the LM left the surface of the Moon, the rocket blast blew away a lot of dust and things, including making the Stars and Stripes wave in the blast.

So, so much for you worthless pukes!!!!!!

Mark. A redneck American and proud of it.

Oh I forgot something. How about the aluminum suitcase(s) of Moon rocks that were shown in the actual footage that accompanied the Astronauts on their rejoining the LM after their walk. Was that just something that somebody went out into the Arizona desert and dug up? No. I recall them being professionally analyzed; don't remember the particulars, been too long. They may, probably are, in the Smithsonian Institute.

Gullable people are born every day. Thieves are out there preying on you. They are vultures shocking you with lies and making you do things that in a normal mind you wouldn't do. They make a lot of money in their trade. We have to be aware educated, strong of spirit, and ignore them.

Mythbusters did a whole show on the lunar landings. They dispelled all the myths about it being fake but the most compelling information to prove it did happen is that they put a reflector on the moon. They went to large observatory/telescope dialed in the coordinates, sent a laser beam and had a beam shoot back to them. A regular laser shot would not come back.

One of the moon rocks that Neil Armstrong brought back from the 1969 Lunar mission is at the Cincinnati Museum Center in Ohio. Other rocks may be in the Smithsonian. When he landed on the moon it was later revealed he only had 20 seconds of fuel left at touchdown. Close call.

I used to work in the movie industry. That was one of the biggest jokes we all got a good laugh at.If it had been filmed in Hollywood. It would have been all over the news in no time.

To all of us. It was a insult to the guys that risk their lives to get to the moon.

my uncle worked for nasa,, when i went to visit him, i got a back of the ropes [term for the public to stay out of]tour...their is a lot i found out more than the normal people know, but i was never able to tell..believe what you want from what you hear,,,untill it is proven right of wrong,, just got to go with it...hollywood can make you think huh...

Yea, he was supposed to abort the landing, the landing site wasn't as clear as was expected, not finding a level place, not enough fuel to get back to the main module. Think he said something like he didn't train all that time and fly all that way to abort that close, he was gonna land one way or another.

Interesting times, when we actually did something.

Who would believe we didn't land, it's fun to be a doubting thomas now & then, but by now who's left to doubt.

Actually a lot of people. Most often I think they want to believe that everything the government puts out is a lie :? :? :? . Well after ole Billy boy, Georgie boy and don't forger daddy and our current dear leader    .....isn't everything a lie    ??????

So what makes you positive that we did in fact land on the moon. I believe we did....just saying.

From a UK newspaper :-
"Apollo 11 Moon landing: conspiracy theories debunked
The following reasons have all been offered as proof that the Moon landings which began with Apollo 11"s touchdown on July 20 1969 were faked."

I was about 13 years old when They first landed on the moon but I remember it vividly.
Daily Telegraph, debunking the conspiracy therories

There was a documentary that came out several years ago, calling the moon landing in to question.

They presented some very believable "facts" and it really got you wondering.

I was a young kid at that time of the moon landing, and I was fully wrapped up in space travel. That was a HUGE part of my childhood.

But that documentary was convincing enough for me to have some doubts. I didn't WANT to believe it, it made me sick to think about it.

Over the years I've heard the documentary's "facts" debunked, one by one.

But it really goes to show you the power of television.

It's very easy to believe somebody's bull()*)*( if it's presented in a believable way.

There's no counter argument presented, and you can't counter it yourself against the producer of a documentary that's spent years studying a subject.

It also shows you how a person can "prove" what ever they want if they try hard enough.

If I had enough time, I could prove that the washington monument was built by space aliens - make a documentary about it - have it broadcast all over the us - and for the next 30 years, there would be a percentage of the population that actually believes that aliens built the washington monument.

I hate what that person did to the memory of our space program.

I consider it the pinnacle of our society - the highest point we reached before we started decaying into the downward spiral we're on now.

We've sunk so far as a society now that we can't even believe we made it!

They went to large observatory/telescope dialed in the coordinates, sent a laser beam and had a beam shoot back to them. A regular laser shot would not come back.

The nay-sayers and conspiracy theorists had a field day with that one...

The Mythbusters didn't show us anything in that segment. All they did was sit in front of a computer and say, "See? We shot a laser to the moon and it came back. Myth busted."

I guess what started all this is when someone said there were actors in a hollywood set at the same time incase the signal didn't come thru good, which it was rough wasn't it? And to show some details of what they doing up there that just couldn't come in focus in the feed. I rememeber some of the shots looking like models, and all too clear and crisp comepare to the live video feed. Sometimes the word 'simulation' would be in a caption, sometimes not.. like a shot of the LM even before they set the outside camera up. Aliens out there take the nice clear movies?
The flag was the big issue wasn't it? It waved, so a conspiracy started!.... not cause of a breeze in a studio, but cause it was a springy pole, that Niel said he thought blew over when taking off... acouple weeks ago a satilite, Chinese I think, took pics of the lunar sites, and yes, Appollo 11's flag is flat on the ground, the others are still up, but they were all placed further away from the lem. And this adds to the conspiracy, when the crews say 'it was staged' they ment, camera and tripod set up and aimed first, make sure everything is 'staged' in the shot, read a scrpt of what to do next, etc etc. Not staged on earth...but... got to watch what ya said and how ya say it.
When in the Smithsonian with xgf, who was born at that time, I was young but remember that event well- she said "how could this bloody thing get to the moon? It is made out of kitchenware! the window looks like the door on the microwave, knobs are off a cooking range, and the rest is tin foil. And where did they go to the bathroom?" I told her to just keep reading, it's got to be on a wall or board in the rooms somewhere. When she found it... it was time to go see the trains and first lady dress collection... kinda grossed her out. Alot.

Amen Paul ,,, In The Farm World Rarely do we find All Systems Perfect ,,No Doubt, The astronauts had the Latitude in THEIR HANDS to makethe decision to abort or Go for broke ....

Thanks you folks for your comments.

My PO was the fact that slease bags selected an event as monumental as this was in the history of the world, to distort the facts and take away from the bravery of the edge dwellers that these brave men had to have been to undertake this endeavor in the first place, back when the mission control computer was 1/10 what you currently have in your cell phone.

My salute to you brave men; regardless of your reasoning for accepting the challenge.

Respectfully,
Mark
