Freak accident today.....

Better buy a lottery ticket I guess...... got about as much chance of hittin 6 as I do of seeing what I saw today....

Storming today, so I got the hafta chores done and just got in the car and drove around watching flashes and listening to thunder..... Driving thru a town close by, saw an old lady going to the bakery... Tied her dog leash around a light pole outside and went in... No more than she got inside, lightning struck the pole or something close and the dog just kinda stiffened like a bugs bunny cartoon and fell over... Guess it's dead.... Figured the best place for me to be was home so cut a rug and been in the house waitin on the sun.....
 
That's sad to hear or imagine. I wonder what she thought when she came out and saw her dog laying there.

Doggone????? No, I've seen her with that dog plenty over the last 8 or ten years..... Prolly wished she'da left him home... Heck of a feeling I guess...
 
My Wife's Grandfather would load the whole family up in the car every time He saw lightning and drive around till it was over night or day. Because he heard the rubber tires kept them safe.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, the poor old lady - I can't imagine what she thought when she came back outside. Gee, it sounds like something out of a Mad Magazine comic strip.
 
I guess that dogs time had come. His number was up.

Imagine if it had struck when the lady was tying the dog up. Her troubles would have been over as well.

ell,... if they never got hit by lightning while driving around, it must have worked. :D :D
