Some rusted iron at the place we bought our Farmall Regular last year.

Dave in GA,

Thanks! That one hiding is an F20 with a planter attached to it. Both machines are completely covered with the wild grapes. Someone the other day mentioned that they liken the grapes to southern Kudzu when growing unchecked. From what I see in my wanderings that is true, the grapes engulf everything in their path.

Phil,
Thanks so much!

I am getting some feedback on a photo question that I asked on another post. Sounds like I have much to learn over the winter and perhaps can shoot even better photos next summer. Want to capture those cerulean blue skies.

rustred,

Thanks. I thought it was neat too. Wish lighting had been better in there... it was non-existent.

Sadly, I don't think the owner will ever do anything with any of this stuff - but don't think he would sell any of it either. Not sure why he let us buy the Regular - but glad he did. And really glad he let me take photos there.

Those grapes look like the useless variety, and they go everywhere as you say. I grow 30 muscadine grapes, all on double trellises, and they're growing as though they're on adrenelin this summer with all the rain we've been getting. Furtunately, they're loaded with grapes, so we'll have a harvest soon. I've got a nice F-20 in the garage and have always liked the regulars, 20s, and 30s. It's the unstyled beauty that the post-1939 machines lost.

Ramblin Man,
Nope, tried it. But the man who owns them can tell one some history on the tractors and knows all their serial numbers by heart.

Hey Sweet, have you ever thought on putting the pics into a calender or wall hanging art? I'd buy the 1st set. I wish I had the photo eye you do.

Super Trucker,

Thanks! Thanks for the encouragement, I really enjoy taking photos. Shot about 500 on Saturday at an out-state junkyard. Will share some after I get done sorting them down (takes me a few weeks).

I actually have thought about either a calendar or more-so leaning toward just selling photos... say 4x6, 5x7, 8x10 (and other's on YT have shared encouragement to sell them as calendars).

I guess I should look into costs for printing and shipping, etc. Then decide if I want to do my own business again... did daycare for about 5 years and I purely hated all the record keeping for tax purposes.

Remember cash is king and word of mouth is golden. I would print 25 copy's and word of mouth sell them at shows for no profit [hint hint]. Put me on the list of a set of the 1st edition signed of course. My wife works at a printing company that does ALL types of printing if you need help or get estimates. Trucker

Dick2,

LOL. Probably a lot. My husband is one of them - our Regular was pretty sorry looking when we found it. Still have a long row to hoe on it.

The old Farmall in the shed must still have oil or some kind of fluids in it, the dust looks a little wet just below the carburetor. Thanks for the photos. I always enjoy them. For some reason, even when I was a kid, I loved old cars and machinery. In the 40s during WWII Dad had a Model A Ford coupe. He cut the rumble seat off just behind the drivers seat and built a wooden bed and turned it into a pickup. He used a sheet of heavy tin and built a new roof, Didn't look like much, but it got the job done. We drove that thing until the early 50s when Dad finally upgraded to a 40 Ford pickup. When I finished school I wanted to fix it up but Dad wouldn't sell it to me. He finally sold it for scrap.

ShadetreeRet,
I know the one in the barn still turns over. I think the owner goes in there and cranks it several times a year.

I love old stuff too, and always have. Machines, buildings, furniture, anything old.

Bummer on the Model A being scrapped! Would have been neat for you to have it.

Super Trucker,

Thanks, I will keep it in mind.

I guess if I did do it, I had thought more of doing it online. Maybe advertise on YT, also ebay and take payments via paypal and mail them.

Had not considered selling at shows... probably a great idea! Only problem is, we only go to a couple per year - and I don't really want to be stuck at a booth. I'd rather enjoy the show with my husband.

I believe that is why many of the oldtimers won't let tractors in the weeds out of their sight. Just seeing those old tractors everyday takes them back in time.

If you could put them on a dvd I'd pay for that without any work of making a calendar. I saw some where the owner embedded his name in order to copywrite them I guess. Just an idle mind thinking out loud. :)

RamblinMan,
Interesting idea also. Will have give that some thought...hmmm, not sure how that would work. How many per DVD, what price? Will look on ebay to see if anyone sells them that way.

Cool pictures!! Could you PLEASE get more pictures of the Regular with the mounted corn picker!??? It LOOKS like a #20 IHC picker, but I would like to see more pictures from all sides to be sure. I have only seen ONE #20 picker so I am thinking they are kind of rare.

NE Kirk,

Peeked and I did have the other views...would love to photograph it in fall with colorful leaves (hate to ask the guy though).

Here they are...I left them a little higher on pixels (68%) so they will be a bit clearer for you.
