12.4 X 38 tires on IH rims

Will a goodyear 12.4 X 38 tire fit on a 12 inch wide rim and be decent for general use traction and not look goofy for shows in the future. I would love to put on some 13.6 X 38 tires but the goodyear ones that I have are in too good of shape to discard just yet. Does anyone have any pictures of a 12.4 wide tires on 12 inch wide rims. I got some 10" rims that I want to put 13.6 tires on.

The 23.4x38" tires will be fine on 12" rims...

I have 12.4x38 on 10" rims and they are almost too narrow..
They call for 11" rims, so 12" will be just fine..only one inch wider..

You can go an inch wider or narrower than the rim, using old size markings, without it looking or acting funny. Your 12.4 is old size 11 inch.......so yes, will be ok. 13.6 would be old size 12 inch.
