1.Corn blown down after a high wind came through.
2.Same field-different view.
3.Irrigated cotton blown down by wind.
4.Corn field all done.
5.New JD's waiting on corn money to be spent!
6.Poor pic of sweet potatoes on the local research center.
7.CRP. Ten years ago this was a good idea. But at today's commodity prices good yielding land will pay four or five times the rent that CRP pays. A few are buying out the contracts and returning it to rowcrop.
Just thought I'd post these pics. They are kinda poor in quality but it's something to look at.

I am surprised to not see a pickup real on the cornhead. In a bad year in Indiana with corn stalks broken over, you see quite a bit of those. This will probably be one of those years.
 
Theres about a 50 foot strip between the road and the beginning of the planted tress. It is supposed to have the perimeter mowed but not among the trees but that is not enforced around here at all. The wind storm just came through a couple of days ago. The field of corn in front of the combine was harvested prior to.
