Dam ground bees....

Last weekend dropped a 60+ ft pine out back behind the house that had rot around its trunk due to developer burying it 2 feet deep in wood chips.

cut it in 5- and 8- ft sections so I can haul it my 5x8 trailer to the dump.

Today, second log, throw choker chain over/under it and im in there trying to get chain done.

BEES! some how escaped unstung. But choker chain was in there.

Managed to get chain out with a out getting stung.

Standing about 30 feet away and shoo off one pesky varmit. no more buzzing then STING!

got me in the left bicep right threw me shirt.

Sprayed the heck out of the ground around that log. took half hr till the settled down or died.
They are still buzzing around that log.

Managed to work around it so far.

Too wet to make a fire or i"d smoke em!

I've been building fence here. Found three yellowjacket nests so far. One of them got me about eight stings, but the other two nests I was able to see before I got them stirred up. I moved to another area to work, then slipped back after dark with a quart of gasoline. Poured it in the entry hole and they're out of business. Yellowjackets are mean little buggers - these chased me a couple hundred feet. They swarmed my boots or I'd have gotten stung badly.
