Tire covers

I think I need to get some tire covers for my trailer to protect the tires from the sun . The trailer doesn't get a lot of use just sets in the field. Black color seems plentiful white ones usually have a sports logo. Any advantage to one color over the other.

Is it a big deal to pull the wheels (park them) on a block so they are off the ground? If looks aren't an issue for you, just pull a tuff garbage bag over each one. Won't get stolen I betcha

Maybe put some kinda rubber preservative on them??

Just cut some treated plywood to fit and use it as a cover. Most likely it will not blow away like the vinyl ones do. Works great for me.

If you want good covers - Go to an RV store. They make them in all sizes for campers.
If you want cheap - use old scraps of indoor/outdoor rug to drape over the tires.

Block trailer to get tires off the ground, won't turn into eggs that way... take them off(don't forget to but some grease in the lug-nut wholes, or screw lugs back in) and put them in a barn to protect from the elements, use plywood or any light colored cover: white or silver is best to reflect sun rays.
