Ford F-350 with 460 fixed

I hate to say what the problem was. But before buying a new computer I invested in a spark tester instead of looking at a spark plug I pulled out of a drawer to check spark with.

After using the tester I went back to town bought a new coil, set the timing were it is supposed to be, put everything back up and the truck is cranking and running just fine.

Learned a little on this one, cost a little embarrassment, only bought the coil, distributor cap, rotor and plug wires. So I bought only what I needed.

Thanks for your help.

Glad you figured it out, David. And foremost, thanks for letting us know what was wrong and what fixed it. Many times, folks suggest solutions, but we hardly hear the end with the ..."rest of the story"!!
Enjoy your ride!!
