use for old gas mix???

Just had my stihl saw and brushcutter at the dealer cause by the time I got em started I was too tired to use them. If ya don't get anything else outta this story, you should note that sparkplugs ain't sposedta last 10 years in a saw  ...

Anyway, he put a new plug in the saw, drained the fuel, filled with the premix stuff, sharpened the chain, and made the adjustments these guys make to satisfy watching customers. Put a new carb on the BC, replaced fuel, lubed the head, and dressed the blade a little.... Dropped the stuff off at 0900 and picked up at 1130... Charged me 100 euro ($120+/- bucks) and said he'd do future fixes like this for free if I'd buy (from him) and use the stihl motomix fuel..... A little pricey, but I don't use things enough to burn 2 gallon a year so I'll stick to his idea....

Anyway, have about a gallon and a half of mixed fuel. Can I ad that to the 12 or so gallons of diesel in the tractor? Or is it better to just use it as a weed killer (have several 2-3 inch stalks of burrs that should go).....?

Thanks, Dave

I would not add it to a diesel, have seen drastic
evidence of what gasoline can do to a diesel. I
would add a little at a time to gas engines, but I
suppose you don't have any bigger ones, like our
Farmall C, it would love that. Mixed with about 5
more gallons of straight gas it would lube the top
end.

I burn my old 2-stroke mix gasoline in any fuel injected gasoline powered vehicle. If it's old enough to cause problems, I try not to use it in another engine with a carburator.

I pour old gas mix into my tractor - never caused an issue - yet. But then I usually only have a gallon or so mixed that I've allowed to get old.

1.5 gallons? Just fill the tank (leave room for the 1.5 gallons) on any gas engine car or tractor and top it off with the 1.5 gallons of pre-mixed; neither you or the vehicle will notice it.

Do not use it in a Diesel engine!!!!!

Pour it into one of your vehicles. I poured K1 kerosene in my old 1981 Cougar. I dumped about a gallon when I had a 3/4 tank of gas. My wife said this car smells like a diesel. No problems with it starting. Hal

Goes in our atv at about 1-5 old premix to new fuel. If it gets really
really bad it goes in the bonfire juice pail. Mixture of contaiminated
diesel, used motor and gear oil, old varnished gas etc. We strain it
into an old hand sprayer with the tip opened up.

Knew of a guy who used to burn 50%+ acetone from his businesses
paint gun wash station in his old suzuki. The old paint would
varnish up but he said more frequent filter changes and once a year
carb cleaning was all it needed.

If the gas smells like paint thinner, I put it in a special can and use it for cleaning wheel bearings.

If the gas is only a year old, I'll put about 5% mix of old gas with new gas and burn it in lawn mower.

Or I'll put the old gas in with my used oil and use to start brush fire with when I do my winter burn.

Just mix it with new mix if it's not more than about
2 years old. Stihl premix oil is made by Castrol and
has stabilizer in it.

Every time that I buy gas for my 2-stroke engines I add fuel stabilizer and the proper amount of oil to an empty gas can. Then at the end of the season I put the remaining fuel in my beater truck. I do not use stabil try to find Quikstore it is a Mercury Marine fuel product. Local Mercury Dealer we have it.
