auction machinery pics - neat stuff

Some great pics at this link to look at of the Gjere collection to be auctioned off next weekend at Mabel, MN. Article in newspaper said he has been collecting for 50 years! His wife does not really believe he is "done" collecting.

Man, this guy must have at least one of everything. I would LOVE to go, just to see the stuff (and of course take some pictures)... but darn Mr. Sweet does not want to drive that far. So I have to be content saving a few pics from the site. Really cool stuff... though I am guessing it will sell higher than heck.

SweetFeet, where are you from? And what would you like to have pictures of? I am from Mabel, and will be running one of the steam engines on Friday - while I wouldn't have time for to many photo's I could take some if you like of a particular something. Everything is going to start getting put out early this week I think.

From MN, but too far for husband to be willing to just "waste" an entire day. And to his credit he works long hours all week, so he'd rather accomplish something at home and work on the Regular.

But pics of anything rusty... from the Farmalls to the Rumley to the old trucks/pickup. Any photo would be fun to see - as the auction pics are never great clarity. Only if you have time!

Enjoy the auction, it would be a blast to see all the stuff. Amazing collection! I'm going to see if I can just view it through Proxibid without registering as a bidder.

Yes, it looks amazing. I can't even remember what I was googling when I stumbled across it. But it sure would be fun to be there! Though the most fun taking photos is still to be had in old junkyard (disappearing quickly) or on old, abandoned farms (also disappearing quickly).

Rick, if you buy it I would be happy to ride around in it with you. All that luxery, roomey, and quiet. I will help pay for the fuel. About the most interesting thing you can drive with a steering wheel.
