Drought, windmills, and energy

Could the current wide spread drought be due to the energy removed from the wind by the electrical generating windmills be contributing to the drought?

Air has been stagnant over Iowa for most of the summer. No three to four day winds blowing out of the south to bring moisture from the gulf, and no hurricanes to help either.

Lots of those windmills in California, Kansas and Iowa. Sure to be more in other states.

Yes, I have tractors.

hahahaa! thats a good one! Not true around here anyway. there used to be a windmill on every farm here probably 3 - 4 per section. Now there is about 1 farm for avery 3rd section, and NO functioning windmills. Of course this is in Nebraska where they were very predominant more so than in an area with a lot of trees(NW Wisconsin for example).

Today your tax dollars are being used to put them up; tomorrow your tax dollars will be used to take them down.

think we could get a gov grant to do a study? talking to an old freind of mine a while back he had to drag me out to the pasture to look at a wind mill his boy had made a tower for and installed on an old well. said he had another one his boy was redoing but he didnt know if he would stand it up .he wasnt sure he had enough wind to turn two!

Look up-1. chemtrails and 2. government weather experiments on the internet. You will find the answer there as to why we are having such crazy weather these days. All a part of trying to control the world.

Wait until the earth stops spinning because of all the extra resistance the wind mills are putting on the earth increasing the amount of torque the earth needs to rotate. I'm thinking about writing a book and going on tour with this one.

No no, tax dollar will be used to power them to replntish the wind the govt mistakenly removed from the skies. Electricity used will cost 4x as much for this project as it will need to come from Brailian ethanol.

But it willbe good for us.

One of our neighbors put up two big windmills a few years ago; he had to take one down this summer because there wasn"t enough air for two.

Our local river is so low it"s only using one bank. The water was tested and it"s only 65% moisture.

It was so hot here I saw a dog chasing a cat and they were both walking.

No that would put half of the electricity back into the air causing a disruption of economic powers. Man we got enough trouble as it is.

If you are serious then you are biggest Flipping Moron that has walked the earth.
You say you have a tractor? Be careful, you might fall off and run yourself over with the rear tire.

Iffn you really want wind energy to work, put a windmill on obummers microphone, Viola, as the french say, perpetual motion machine!

They make electricity with those windmills? I thought they ran electricity to them and ran an electric motor to make the wind. Apparently my thinking was bass ackwards. Thanks for clearing this up for me and everyone else.

People have seen the clouds separate and disappear when they get close to the wind generators here in Nebraska from Petersburg to Bloomfield area, also the dryest it's been in my forty years. chris

(quoted from post at 20:19:06 07/29/12) I think not, we have had more wind here this summer than we have had for 6 or 7 years.

Finally, a good honest answer that wasn't meant to ridicule.
