TRACTOR OPTIONS

I am looking for another older cab tractor around the 90 horse range that has a place for an extra person inside. The Ford's have a glove/toolbox with a padded top that is not bad to ride on for a while. Does the Deere 4040 or anything else have space for an extra person? I am leaning toward something like a Ford 7710 what are some other options?

Big belarus ,..they got a spare seat for the mechanic

Other than that,...tractors are one man machines.

I'm kinda partial to the red tractors but a cousin of mine had a 4450 Deere that if you folded down the left armrest there was room for another tush on the seat with ya as long as you didn't mind bein kinda cozy. We have a ford 7700 that we took the toolbox off the left fender an installed a 90 degree bracket with a piece of 1/2" plywood on it in place of the tool box. We then bolted a folding boat seat onto that. Worked well for us. Just a few thoughts Kippster

My MF5455 has a jumpseat, neigbours NH7740 has a poor jumpseat, their NH8160 has a nice cloth one. Deutz Agrotrons have a nice jump seat padded bottom. Can get aftermarkets ones for the round glass JD's.

Flat top fenders. Problem solved......

Plenty of examples here...

Yes, the left arm rest on the 40 series folds down so 2 can sit on the seat. Two adults do not want to ride all day that way but it's OK for a round or two.

It's gonna be tight in a 4040. I had one. A little kid maybe, but another adult is real cramped.

7710s 7700s are both good nearly no difference in either i got both 7710 i just put a new motor in 7700 needs trany work. i like both. i think 7710 is rated at 86hp but uncertain if not its pretty close.

I don't think you're going to find many OLDER tractors with a second seat like that... It's a relatively new concept.
