try using clear monofilament fishing line.
string it up at shoulder height and at least 50 feet away from the garden. keep it tight. deer walking will feel it but not see it. If he can't see it, he won't ju8mp it. will not walk under it unless he is too short to feel it.

That will work until they snap it. Been picking up electric fence knocked down by deer for years. Everything works once. Best Deer deterant is a dog.

Yea. they knocked down my electric fence also. They can see it.
