yellow seats on John Deere

Lots of older models got yellow for replacements when old black ones wore out. Those black ones were hot on yer sitdown!

That's what we're trying to decide on the daughter's A.
Needs the bottom cushion and backrest - The old black sure get's hot setting out in the sun!

Oliver guy here, so I have the "Other Green" seat cushions!

Go with the yellow ones; the black ones get really hot in the sunshine.

When the time comes for new cushions, we replace the old ones with yellow.

Last set was for "Sparky" Nancy's 51M.

I bought a restored tractor several years ago with the Soundguard cab. It had a new seat in it and it was brown vinyl with backrest. I looked on the back of it and the tag said it was made for JD series .......

I never saw one before and didn't like it cause it wasn't yellow; but for $125 I learned to bite my lip. Grin

Yellow seats were optional on the 20 series and beyond. First numbered and letter series had black seats according to J R Hobbs book.
